The Hubble Space Telescope was deployed from the Shuttle STS-31 mission on 25th April 1990. ----- Following initial deployment, it was found the reflector mirror had been ground incorrectly, and an STS mission in 1993 restored the telescope to proper functionality. ----- The spectacular images to the left and right have been produced from pictures taken by Hubble. ----- Download and enjoy a Microsoft Power Point Presentation of some images taken from the Hubble Space Telescope, accompanied by the music of Jean-michel Jarre, or watch the presentation in windows Media Player. ----- My thanks go to my friend Diane for sending me the PowerPoint file, which opens in a new window. |
